Consultant Dermatologist

About the Role:

  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of dermatological conditions in outpatient and community settings.
  • Perform skin surgery and other dermatological procedures, as appropriate.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centred care.
  • Contribute to service development, clinical governance, and research initiatives.
  • Support the education and training of junior doctors and allied health professionals.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Full GMC Registration with License to Practice
  • MRCP

Desirable:

  • Evidence of entry on the GMC Specialist Register or within six months of attaining CCT at the time of the interview.
  • CCT in Dermatology (or equivalent qualification).
  • Experience in medical dermatology, skin cancer management, and dermatological surgery.
  • Commitment to clinical excellence, innovation, and service improvement.

Our Dermatology department has many opportunities to develop your career, working with a friendly, hardworking team.

We have dedicated clinics for diagnosis of skin cancer, counselling, support for skin cancer patients, and skin check clinics for transplant recipients. Skin cancer treatments include complex surgery, including skin flaps and skin grafts, photodynamic therapy, and cryotherapy.
