  • GMC registration with a licence to practise.
  • MRCP or equivalent
  • CCT in Rheumatology (or within six months of completion) or equivalent.

Main Duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Rheumatologist to join a forward-thinking and supportive team in Derby. We welcome applications from both substantive consultants and candidates seeking fixed-term positions. This role offers the chance to contribute to an evolving rheumatology service while providing high-quality, patient-centred care.

The post is offered at 6 PA but under the terms of the 2003 Consultant Contract, candidates who wish to conduct private practice would be required to offer an additional programmed activity. The postholder will be expected to undertake 1 programmed activities (PAs) of Supporting Professional Activity per week and 5 programmed activities (PAs) of Direct Clinical Care, 3.5 of which will be Rheumatology Out patient clinics and 1.5 PA admin. There is the opportunity for a successful candidate to take on additional PAs (DCC and SPA) following mutual agreement with the Specialty Clinical Lead and Associate Medical Director.
