Main Duties of the job

We are looking for a dynamic and forward-thinking Consultant Radiologist to work within the Directorate of Radiology. The Directorate would equally welcome applications from existing and newly trained Consultants, all sub-specialisms are welcomed.

Applications who do not have CCT, but are working towards CESR are welcomed to apply and will be offered a Locum Consultant Radiologist post if successful.

This post has arisen through an investment in the Radiology department to meet the ever growing demand for diagnostic imaging. Successful applicants will complement a team of existing interventional and diagnostic Consultant Radiologists. Consultant Radiologists will be required to work across site on a rotational basis, this is currently 1:7 weekdays.

There is provision for remote access to Trust IT systems and working from home may be possible with agreement from the Clinical Director. It is expected that the appointee will contribute equally to the out-of-hours-work and on-call rota, currently 1:13 (proposed to reduce further with successful recruitment).
