Who can move to the UK to work as a doctor or a nurse?

The UK Government and NHS are committed to upholding the best possible standards of care, safeguarding and professionalism. Therefore, some requirements exist to ensure all doctors coming to the UK meet the high standards. 

To work as an internationally trained doctor or nurse in the UK, you will need to meet the requirements of the GMC or NMC, as well as meeting some important English language requirements. 

Unfortunately, there are some countries we cannot recruit from – these countries are determined by the WHO
